I've wanted to attend the Fall Fiber Festival of Virginia. For the past few years, the festival has been held the same weekend as my organization's annual dinner. We finally moved the date of our dinner. Yay!
The Fiber Festival is at Montpelier in Orange County, Virginia. I drove down from DC with a few friends in a rickety '91 Jeep. The drive was worth it. I spent entirely too much money on beautifully dyed, silky soft wool to be spun. (Nevermind the fact that the only place I can really spin is in the common rooms of my house and I hate my roommate.) I'm hoping to have the time and drive to really spin this into some nice lofty yarn.
I'll have to practice my spinning and start looking for a pattern for this soon-to-be-yarn.
