Ravelry - Out of Control?

I spent some time today browsing through the "Groups" section of Ravelry. It is completely overwhelming. Creed, color, sexual orientation, location, health, diet, TV program, religion - you name it, there's a group for it...

Are you a fan of American Idol, The Closer, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed, Lost, the L Word, of the Food Network? There's a group for you!

Into old classic movies? Action movies? Specific movies like the Princess Bride and the Newsies? Oh, keep searching through the list, there's a group for you.

Do you sweat a lot? Are you on weight-watchers? Know someone with Autism or Down's Syndrome? Have heart problems? There are groups for all of you.

Are you an atheist or agnostic? Christian? Member of the Church of Latter Day Saints?

Are you from Croatia? Spain? Wales? A state in the US? Antarctica?

Are you gay? Are you into the butch/femme dichotomy? Into S&M? Try Gay Crochet, Queer Ravelry or the Gentle Christian Mommies group to really spice things up.

Are you into Harry Potter? Do you not understand why everyone loves Harry Potter? Do you think Gryffindor is the place for you?

Have Birkenstocks or Crocs?

Have Bassett Hounds, rescued cats, Bulldogs, Guinea Pigs or ferrets?

Do you like Dennis Leary or perhaps World Cup Rugby?

Do you consider yourself Chinese, Ethnic or Asian?

Do you prefer a certain designer? A certain type of yarn?

Are you a Fulbright Scholar? You too can have your own group.

There is even a group for people who don't knit or crochet...which I don't understand...since Ravelry is mostly about fiber arts...

What I want: a group for people who hate knitting socks. There isn't one. I am the only person out of nearly 73,000 who dislikes knitting socks.

Don't forget the group that's all about discussing toilet paper!

Halp!! I'm in 44 groups!!! (yes, the lolcat one too)
But if you wanna start an anti-sock movement I"ll join you.
I just don't think I have the attention span... or the money... or the skill, me and round knitting haven't quite gelled...
