Garden Update

Here are a few updated pictures of the backyard/garden these days. The bearded giant thought I was a little batty when I started doing all of the containers around the yard, but the bottom line is, I don't know where the best sun is yet. Sadly, I think to really get the best sun, we'd have to have the raised bed in the middle of the yard. Not gonna happen.

I did somehow manage to fail to take a picture of the raised bed which has the lettuces, bok choy, carrots, parsley, cilantro and delicata squash in it.

There's the raised bed - it's looking pretty good - several different types of tomatoes, zucchini, sugar snaps, peppers and eggplant. Woo!

Here we've got a sungold tomato, a scotch bonnet pepper, white eggplant, fish pepper, cherokee purple tomato and a green zebra tomato.

And the strawberries! Woo. Well, Ellie had been eating them - both the foliage AND the fruit. Now that we're not letting her out back, they look GREAT. And so does the yard. Ellie wasn't the sole destructive factor in the back yard, it just wasn't thriving at all. We've reseeded and we've been watering, and it looks MUCH better.

Yay for summer.
